For many of us when we hear the word evangelism we tense up. We know we should share our faith, maybe even want to…but for most of us we fear evangelism. ‘What will others think of me?’ ‘I don’t like controversy.’ ‘What if they ask me something I can’t answer?’ Yet we know that the saving power of Christ is the best news ever to be shared. It is good, freeing news! How do we move from seeing evangelism as a task we must accomplish to it becoming a part of who we are and how we live?
We’ll examine some of the ways our culture has shifted that will be helpful in understanding how to relate to our unsaved friends, colleagues and family and we’ll hear some ways we can be more deeply dependent on the Holy Spirit in prayer when it comes to sharing our faith.
