Romans 10:1-13

Most of us like acknowledgment. We like being thanked for a job well done…being appreciated for a completed task…being valued for an accomplishment. We like to contribute. To know we’ve added something of value to the conversation or task at hand. The same is true of our salvation. Although we know God is the one who has to save, we want our efforts to be noticed…maybe even to count for something.  This Sunday as we take a look at the fact that Christ’s effort is the one that counts and that in and of ourselves we have nothing to add to or offer for our salvation.
